Woman in her 50s from Hordle dies after ‘medical episode’ on Ashley Common Road in Ashley, near New Milton
A WOMAN died after reportedly suffering a medical episode on an Ashley street yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.
Paramedic teams, including the Hampshire and Isle of Wight air ambulance, responded to the incident which took place around 12.30pm on Ashley Common Road.
But the casualty, who was in her 50s and from Hordle, passed away in the incident, which police are not treating as suspicious.
According to the air ambulance charity, the helicopter’s critical care team of a doctor and specialist paramedic treated her before she was taken by road to hospital.
A Hampshire police spokesperson said today: “We were called at 12.38pm yesterday afternoon (13th June) following reports of a woman suffering a medical episode on Ashley Common Road in New Milton.
“Despite the efforts of emergency services on-scene, sadly, a woman in her 50s passed away.
“Her next-of-kin have been informed.”
The spokesperson added: “The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.”
