SIR – Thanks for the two sensible and good letters about how sensible, observant people drive prudently past the ponies on Forest roads.
SIR – So the correspondent suggested that to ease housing shortages for young people, to allow flats for the elderly to be shared with young people?
Sir – Your front page article on pond ice skating (A&T, 16th December) caused my eyebrows to raise beyond their design criteria.
"The problem is likely to get much worse."
Sir – Mr Whitfield has a disciple in his anti-pine marten philosophy; Mr Walsh has the same narrow view on the subject of the marten.
Sir – Cllr Heron's suggestion that second-home owners should pay twice as much council tax is very unfair.
SIR – Lymington is getting an increasingly aged population due to the constant addition of retirement flats.
SIR – Isn't it strange that for its size, the pine marten is probably one of if not the biggest hunter-killer of wildlife in this country?
SIR – It mystifies me why the problems of the health service are not being rectified; it's the system that is wrong.
"I think Anthony is being a bit dramatic"
SIR – There has been a lot of coverage showing a Royal Mail van driving carefully around a New Forest pony.
SIR – I read with interest your lead article, ‘We’ll keep fighting’ to stop flats bid, on Friday 25th November.
SIR – I read the article on the "vision" plan to revamp Lymington town centre (A&T, 11th November).
SIR – We are getting older, we are getting more tired and it would be nice to have a bit of time to relax.
Sir – The lack of affordable housing in the New Forest is hitting the news again and so it should.
SIR – When the NPA has admitted a breach in planning rules but then appears not to be committed to taking any further action, it appears redundant.
"We are working to make recycling easier for residents"
"It no longer takes place just on 5th November, but goes on for days, sometimes weeks."
"Local press coverage, and the overspill into social media only fuels animosity and tribalism between different Forest user groups"
Sir – I would like to support the comments made by Cllr Hilary Brand about the lack of affordable housing in the New Forest (A&T, 21st October).
