Sir – Cllr Heron's suggestion that second-home owners should pay twice as much council tax is very unfair.

SIR – Lymington is getting an increasingly aged population due to the constant addition of retirement flats.

SIR – Isn't it strange that for its size, the pine marten is probably one of if not the biggest hunter-killer of wildlife in this country?

SIR – It mystifies me why the problems of the health service are not being rectified; it's the system that is wrong.

SIR – We are getting older, we are getting more tired and it would be nice to have a bit of time to relax.

Sir – The lack of affordable housing in the New Forest is hitting the news again and so it should.

SIR – When the NPA has admitted a breach in planning rules but then appears not to be committed to taking any further action, it appears redundant.

Sir – I would like to support the comments made by Cllr Hilary Brand about the lack of affordable housing in the New Forest (A&T, 21st October).

Sir – I recently had a bad fall at home and waited almost seven hours at Bournemouth’s A&E before receiving any attention.

Sir – I am confused by conflicting information about recycling plastic rubbish.

SIR – At long last, the government is considering the possibility of forcing cyclists to have number plates on their bikes.
