SIR – Thank you for giving prominence in your headline to the recent spate of local break-ins and thefts from businesses and charities in New Milton.

SIR – This year the streets of Lymington were invaded by a weed called fleabane.

SIR – I have just parked on Lymington High Street. It was 3.15pm on a Monday, and the town was empty of people and plenty of spaces to park.

SIR – I was sorry to read last week the letter about "a poor show at town church" (Letters, 23rd September).

SIR – So, another Bournemouth Air Show draws to a close, completing four days of pollution and totally unnecessary expense.

SIR – We are sadly used to seeing burnt out hulks on the evening news as the Ukrainian people bravely defend themselves against Putin's war.

SIR – I’m writing in regard to the proposed major affordable housing development on land off New Inn Road in Bartley.

"Every walk where we might consider it safe to let our dogs off-lead here is fraught with tension and worry."

"Quite specifically what are those rights that they have?"

SIR – I won’t enter the cyclists/motorists debate but wanted to address one point in Tim Kilsby's letter.

SIR – I have looked at the proposed plans for the site off Manor Road, Milford, and if alarm bells don't start ringing now, they never will.

"What a long and miserable life we could live if we give up everything that has the potential to cause disruption to the Forest."

SIR – I’d like to highlight an elderly gentleman who on a daily basis is out litter-picking on very narrow verges on the Milford road.

SIR – Recently two works-uniformed men cold-called at my home in Barton and said they had noticed my roof ridge tiles were looking unstable.

"We will all be the losers if their actions mean the pub is not viable and closes"

It’s great to know that people appreciate the Forest, but the concept of Monopoly, which hinges around acquisition, is an uncomfortable one.

Parking meters in such times are, if anything, the exact opposite to what should be done.

SIR – I read with interest the problems Freedom Leisure are having running the New Forest District Council leisure centres.

SIR – The new bridge installed at Holmsley, including the works to the roads immediately around it, has cost millions.
