A WOMAN is in a serious condition after a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Highcliffe this morning (Friday), according to police.

Witnesses reported the air ambulance landing near the scene of the incident on Wharncliffe Road, near the junction with Lymington Road, and about eight police cars.

Emergency services have attended the scene, close to the recreation ground, and the female pedestrian was taken to Southampton General Hospital.
