This is Going to Hurt author Adam Kay to perform Undoctored show at Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre
Doctor turned author and comedian Adam Kay will be at Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre with his brand new show Undoctored.
Following a sell-out season in the West End and a record-breaking run at the 2023 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, former medic Adam describes himself as the nation’s twelfth-favourite doctor.
Adam’s book, This is Going to Hurt was a literary sensation, selling three-million copies and becoming a multi-BAFTA-winning BBC series.
His latest book Undoctored, which has inspired the current tour, features tales of life on and off the wards. It also contains the ‘de-gloving’ story because people ask for refunds if they don't hear it.
A show spokesperson said: “By turns hilarious, heartbreaking and humbling, Undoctored is about what happens when a doctor hangs up his scrubs, but medicine refuses to let go of him.
“It’s about opening old wounds and examining the present-day scars, about hospital admissions and personal ones, about blowing up your life and stitching it back together, and about being both a doctor and a patient.”
Adam Kay has performed shows around the UK, including at the mighty Apollo in Hammersmith, and the West End’s Garrick Theatre where he performed his This Is Going to Hurt stage show in 2020.
Adam Kay Undoctored will be at Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre on Sunday 10th March at 7.30pm. Adam will then be signing copies of his books after the show.
Tickets are £32 each but we’ve teamed up with Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre to give one lucky reader a pair of tickets to the show. To be in with a chance of winning, see this week’s paper.
