Camp Bestival set to return to Lulworth Castle in 2023
DORSET’S biggest music festival Camp Bestival has confirmed it will return to Lulworth Castle to celebrate its 15th year anniversary event next July.
Regarded as a top showcase for up-and-coming Hampshire and Dorset bands to appear alongside chart-toppers and international acts, Camp Bestival is famed for its family-friendly vibe.
Masterminded by DJ Rob da Bank and his wife Josie, next year’s Animal Snap-themed event will transform the spacious castle’s grounds for four days of family fun from 27th to 30th July.
Big-name acts confirmed to headline include Grace Jones, Craig David Presents and indie favourites The Kooks. Meanwhile, Confidence Man promise to deliver feel-good party anthems.
Pop icons Melanie C and Sophie Ellis-Bextor will appear alongside vocal powerhouses Sam Ryder and Ella Henderson.
Family favourites Dick & Dom, Cosmic Kids Yoga, Junior Jungle and Mr Tumble will insure the family-friendly festival continues to deliver a programme to appeal to all ages.
Rob da Bank said: “Prepare to make some seriously strong memories at our beautiful castle by the sea from the iconic Grace Jones and party starter Craig David through to perennial faves Horrible Histories, Junior Jungle and you have to pull a cracker at East 17s Christmas Party. And never forget... We Are Family!”
DJ Jo Whiley will be back with her popular festival anthems set on the main stage and, tying in with the animal theme, Camp Bestival will partner with the World Wildlife Fund.
