Lumos Live Sunset Candlelit Experience at Somerley House, near Ringwood

THOUSANDS of LED candles will illuminate Somerley House, near Ringwood, for a sunset concert featuring hits from Adele, Taylor Swift and Abba.

The grounds of the country house will be transformed for the Lumos Live Sunset Candlelit Experience as part of a series concerts at stately homes and venues around the country.

Billed as a magical outdoor concert experience reviving local entertainment, some proceeds from the event will support local and national charities as well as offering paid opportunities for young musicans to perform.

Event spokesperson Maria Philippou said: "Lumos Live is paying homage to the world’s best musician talent and adding a modern take to classical music.

"Following on from a year of over 100 successful indoor concerts Lumos Live are delighted to host its summer series. With support from local vineyards and stately homes, the shows will consist of a three-hour long performances from a string trio playing the best hits from Abba, Taylor Swift and Adele surrounded by more than 3,000 LED candles"

The Somerley House concert will take place on Friday 16th August with doors opening at 6pm. The event will feature a bar and food vendors will be running all evening. It will conclude at 9.45pm and is suitable for children eight years and above. Attendees are invited to bring picnic blankets and camping chairs to sit on.
