Wicked Sing-Along coming to Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre
IT cast a spell over musical lovers with its pre-Christmas cinema release, and now fans of Wicked have the chance to join a sing-along screening at Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre.
Sing-Along Cinema will be flying into the Pavilion for two special screenings next month, the brand-new experience invites audiences to step into the enchanting world of Wicked.
Wicked reimagines the long-standing classic The Wizard of Oz, telling the untold story of Oz’s most infamous witches Elphaba and Glinda, exploring how they became the Wicked Witch of the West and the Good Witch
Elphaba, an emerald-skinned outcast, and Glinda, a bubbly socialite, forge an unlikely bond at University. Their contrasting personalities and ambitions intertwine, challenging the rigid societal norms of Oz.
As Elphaba uncovers the Wizard’s corrupt regime, she’s branded Wicked, while Glinda ascends to popularity. Their friendship fractures, forcing them to choose between their ideals and the world’s perception. Elphaba’s rebellion transforms her into the infamous Wicked Witch of the West, while Glinda’s acceptance of power shapes her into the beloved Good Witch, forever altering Oz’s destiny.
Since its release in November 2024, the film has captivated audiences worldwide, breathing new life into the iconic story of Oz’s most infamous witches. Now, fans will have the chance to experience the magic like never before with an interactive, sing-along screening.
Complete with an exclusive gift bag, audiences will be encouraged to sing their hearts out combining to create a truly spellbinding experience for all ages.
Directed by visionary filmmaker Jon M. Chu, the film boasts a star-studded cast, including Grammy Award-winners Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, Oscar-winner Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Jonathan Bailey, and Tony-nominee Ethan Slater.
Wicked Sing-Along is at Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre on Sunday 27th April at 3pm and 7.30pm.
