Letters: Just where do we situate all these bins?
WHILE the introduction of plastic bins in the area will hopefully help to solve the problem of reducing the number of hungry foxes, it is the screeching, marauding seagulls, aided and abetted by the crows, which cause most of the litter problems in this area.
Be that as it may, I think the main concern for many now will simply be: just where do we situate all these bins?
There are to be two bins: a black 180-litre bin for general waste, and a green 24-litre bin for recyclable items. A third outdoor bin, brown lid, allocated for waste food along with a small indoor, grey lid bin, for the same purpose.
Remember too, for many households there is already the brown lidded garden bin and not forgetting the black empty bottles container.
When this new bin scheme is due to start in June I think our street would be better renamed as ‘Dustbin Alley’!
