Bournemouth Little Theatre to host Most Rare Vision’s take on Macbeth
SHAKESPEARE fans are invited to experience Macbeth as never before when the Most Rare Vision Theatre Company delivers its two-hander interpretation at Bournemouth Little Theatre next week.
On stage from Monday 21st to Friday 25th April, the striking, fast paced production poses the question: how far would you go to get what you want?
This version features one ambitious man and his ambitious wife – with a kingdom up for grabs.
Associate producer Emma Louise-Price said: “What happens to our grip on reality when all hell breaks loose? Find out in this high-octane, minimalistic two-hander that explores connection and alienation in a dark and violent world.”
The show has been created by fledgling professional theatre company Most Rare Vision. It features Globe-trained actor Ant Henson (Dial M for Murder, King Lear, The Glass Menagerie) and theatrical newcomer Martha Ibbotson who trained at Fourth Monkey.
As well as starring in Macbeth, Ant is artistic director of the company and was born and raised in Bournemouth. He started his acting journey with local theatres such as Bournemouth Little Theatre Club and Brownsea Open Air Theatre where he performed in Love's Labour's Lost in 2012 and Twelfth Night in 2022 before heading to drama school in London in 2024. He also runs Shakespeare open-mic nights in Bournemouth.
Macbeth will be on stage at Bournemouth Little Theatre from Monday 21st to Friday 25th April at 7.45pm. At the end of the show there will be a 15-20 minute question and answer session with the cast and production team from Most Rare Vision. Tickets are £15 for adults.
