Morebus teams with New Forest National Park Authority to offer scenic bus trips including discounts for Beaulieu Motor Museum, Exbury Gardens and New Forest Wildlife Park

VISITORS and residents can enjoy a unique perspective of life in the New Forest this summer as the open-top tour bus returns.

Offering stunning views of picture postcard villages, frollicking ponies and vibrant heathland, the service is operated by Morebus in partnership with the New Forest National Park Authority.

Passengers can enjoy an audio commentary on the Forest’s history and culture, and discounts on entry to attractions like Beaulieu Motor Museum, Exbury Gardens and New Forest Wildlife Park.

“Our team can’t wait to welcome visitors on-board,” said Morebus managing director Andrew Wickham. “Last year, we transported more than 45,000 people across this beautiful landscape and we’re expecting just as many to travel with us in 2023.

“Enjoying the New Forest in this way helps to reduce congestion in the area, with each bus having the potential to take up to 75 cars off our roads.

“In fact, last year, these buses saved approximately 298,000 private car miles.”

New Forest NPA chair Gavin Parker said: “One of the ways we’re addressing the climate and nature emergencies locally is by encouraging people to travel car-free throughout the Forest. The New Forest Tour is a key part of that and is kindly sponsored by local businesses.

“The tour allows people to make a conscious choice to explore the national park sustainably. It offers a great opportunity to learn about what makes it so special, and how to protect it by following the New Forest Code, all while enjoying the views it has to offer.”

The tour runs until 17th September. Tickets can be bought on the bus, or via the Morebus app, as well as from Ferny Crofts, Hoburne Bashley, New Forest Heritage Centre, Sandy Balls Holiday Village, and Shorefield Country Park.
