Poole Harbour Festival returns with headliners Feeder, Happy Mondays and UB40

FEEDER, Happy Mondays and reggae legends UB40 are set to headline next month’s Poole Harbour Festival.

Hailed as one of the one of the south’s biggest and busiest summer music festivals, it will showcase 60 acts across five stages – the most in the event’s 10-year history.

Taking place from 25th to 27th July the three-day party at Baiter Park in Poole is expected to attract around 15,000 visitors.

Festival organiser Ben Dyas said: “We’re so lucky with the location on the shores of Poole Harbour – there are views across to Brownsea Island and there’s even Corfe Castle in the distance; it’s hard to beat. The line-up is carefully chosen with our audience in mind and it’s really easy to get here by car, bus or train.’’

Live music from across the region will also be showcased on the Smuggler’s Inn stage with local favourites Mother Ukers appearing alongside Mischa & His Merry Men, guitar virtuoso Chris Payn, Sixteen String Jack, Lady Winwood’s Maggot and Saints of Sin.

Meanwhile, family entertainment will include walkabout performances, circus skills workshops, dinosaur shows and many other activities.

Ben added: “The music content is at the heart of everything we do. But it’s just as important to us to remember the hundreds of families who come to us for top quality free children’s entertainment – and lots of it – in a safe and secure environment.
