Comedy circuit stars including John Bishop and Chris McCausland to appear at Mast Mayflower Studios and Mayflower Theatre in Southampton
Sharp wit and side splitting laughter are promised with a busy programme of winter stand-up at Mast Mayflower Studios and Mayflower Theatre Southampton.
Big names including John Bishop and Omid Djalili are set to appear alongside up and coming comedy circuit stars.
The funny season launches on 19th January with Stewart Lee vs The Man Wulf at Mayflower Theatre. In this brand new show, Lee shares his stage with a tough-talking werewolf comedian from the dark forests of the subconscious who hates humanity.
On 6th February, the popular Stitches Comedy Club will be back at Mast Mayflower Studios for another stellar line-up. Opening the show is Sindhu Vee, household name and star of shows such as Live At The Apollo. She will be joined by award-winning comedian Nina Gilligan and TV legend Andy Parsons.
On 16th February, John Bishop is Back At It. After two years spent TV presenting, stage acting, podcast hosting, dog walking and decorating the spare room, John is getting back to the thing he loves most; standing on stage and making people laugh.
Comedy master Chris McCausland will be at Mast Mayflower Studios on 18th and 19th February with his new show Yonks! The latest masterclass in stand-up comedy has literally been yonks in the making. Chris has appeared on Scared of the Dark, Would I Lie to You, Have I Got News for You, The Royal Variety, QI, Blankety Blank, The Last Leg, and most recently, Strictly Come Dancing.
On 26th February Sarah Keyworth will be at Mast Mayflower Studios with My Eyes Are Up Here – a brand new, joyous show about family, acceptance and a pair of big (well, not super big) losses. The show was recently winner of the Most Outstanding Show at The Melbourne Comedy Festival 2024.
Finishing up the month the Persian comedy powerhouse Omid Djalili performs his critically acclaimed new show Namaste, when he will peacefully bow to his inner anger and unleash a torrent of comedic vitriol upon the current state of this dangerously messed up planet. He will be at Mast Mayflower Studios on 27th February.
