Southampton’s Mast Mayflower Studios and the Mayflower Theatre to host tribute acts including the Illegal Eagles, the Rod Stewart Story and Luther Live




AN array of tribute shows to some of the greatest musicians of all time will be on stage at Mast Mayflower Studios and the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton throughout July.

With musical genres spanning the decades, audiences can enjoy a programme of live performances including the Illegal Eagles, the Rod Stewart Story, the Rat Pack and Luther Live.

The hits begin with the Magic of Motown on 3rd July highlighting artists such as Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, The Supremes, The Four Tops, Martha Reeves, The Jackson 5, Smokey Robinson and many more.

The Illegal Eagles celebrates over 50 years since the formation of the legendary West Coast country-rock band the Eagles in 1971, with a brand-new production, promising more of their trademark musical prowess, attention to detail and showmanship. The show on 4th July features a medley of hits including Hotel California, Desperado, Take It Easy, New Kid In Town, and Life In The Fast Lane.

The Johnny Cash Roadshow follows on Saturday 6th July featuring timeless hits such as Walk the Line, Ring of Fire, Jackson, Orange Blossom Special, and Boy Named Sue, alongside some of the darker, more troubled material.

Some Guys Have All The Luck: The Rod Stewart Story will be at Mayflower Theatre on Friday 12th July. Direct from the West End and endorsed by Rod’s own family, the show brings an incredible live concert celebrating one of the UK’s most influential icons.

Audiences will be invited to swing into the Golden Age of Hollywood on 13th July at Mayflower Theatre to join the Rat Pack featuring the timeless sounds of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr.

The Bon Jovi Experience follows on 19th July at Mast Mayflower Studios which promises to transport fans back to the heyday of stadium rock with hits like Livin’ On a Prayer, Always, It’s My Life and You Give Love a Bad Name.

Buddy Holly and the Cricketers will appear with a medley of hits such as That’ll Be The Day, Peggy Sue, Heartbeat, It Doesn’t Matter Anymore, Raining In My Heart and Oh Boy on 26th July.

Luther Live wraps the line-up on 27th July featuring the hits from Luther Vandross’ amazing career fronted by international tribute, Harry Cambridge, and his 10-piece band.
