Court bill of over £1,000 for Calmore's Martine Harding who caused unnecessary suffering to horse during loading




A CALMORE woman convicted of causing unnecessary suffering to one of her own horses has been hit with a £1,095 court bill.

Martine Harding (35), of The Spinney, was also given a 12-month community order by Southampton magistrates and told to do 80 hours of unpaid work. The bill comprised a £95 fine, with the rest court charges.

Harding stood trial accused of committing the charge – while loading a dark bay mare into a horse box at Ower on 30th May last year – and was found guilty.

Harding has said she will appeal the verdict.
