11-year-old boy seriously injured in crash with car on Blackfield Road in Fawley




POLICE are appealing for information after an 11-year-old boy suffered serious injuries in a crash in Fawley.

The incident, which involved a silver Nissan Qashqai, happened just after 6pm on Monday on Blackfield Road, near the junction with Foresters Road, where the 11-year-old was a pedestrian

The boy suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains.

The road was closed for about five hours while officers from the Roads Policing Unit investigated.

A spokesperson for Hampshire police said: "Officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw a silver Nissan Qashqai or young pedestrians in the vicinity around the time of the incident, or anyone who may have dash-cam footage."
