Priestlands pupil Rowan Cranton receives Rotary Club award after organising tractor parade
A PRIESTLANDS School pupil who organised a tractor parade to raise over £2,000 for Oakhaven Hospice was presented with a prize for going the "extra mile".
Young commoner Rowan Cranton (14), from East Boldre, was given the David Cummins Award by Lymington Rotary Club for the fundraising event in June which involved 40 vintage and modern tractors.
The vehicles travelled from East Boldre to Lymington passing the Wightlink Ferry terminal.
Rowan was also given a cheque for £100 by the club which he chose to give to the hospice.
He was presented with his prize by head teacher Peter Main during the school's end-of-year presentation evening.
The award received by Rowan was named in honour of the late David Cummins who was great supporter of Rotary.
