Firefighters subjected to abuse by drivers obstruction Lymington station

FIREFIGHTERS have reported being subjected to tirades of verbal abuse by motorists obstructing Lymington’s station entrance.

According to posts from the crew's Twitter account, emergency response was impacted “several times” by the inconsiderate behaviour.

Calling on offending road users to stop this, one tweet said: “We have had an increase in the amount of vehicles parking, dropping people off and turning around in the entrance to the fire station.

“Several times this has hindered responding firefighters and the fire engines leaving on an emergency.”

Another tweet added: “Verbal abuse towards any firefighters is not acceptable.”
