Romsey Show ready for 'action packed' return to Broadlands Park
AN "action packed" day is promised by organisers of the Romsey Show which is back this year.
Romsey Agricultural and Horse Show Society said it was "thrilled" to confirm the popular event will be on Saturday 10th September at Broadlands Park in the town.
The event, which was twice cancelled during the pandemic, will include a food zone, dog shows and mobile farm offering a chance for kids to pet animals.
Show secretary Alexa Morson said: “So many visitors, members and sponsors have told us how much they have missed the show and we cannot wait to finally welcome everyone back.”
On the day, the sheep show will be holding a live display introducing nine different breeds of the farm animal.
There will also be a countryside area offering livestock and equine classes where visitors will be able to pet a goat and learn about reptiles.
People will also be able to bring their dog along to take part in agility classes run by the National Dog Training Academy.
Dogs will also be able to compete in a show with categories including prettiest bitch and most handsome male.
The food zone will feature a range of local produce as well as a kids’ kitchen. There will be displays by chefs at a skills kitchen where people will be encouraged to take part.
In other areas of the show, visitors can bring a picnic while listening to live performances.
Open from 8am to 6pm, show tickets are on sale at www.romseyshow.co.uk.
Children 11 years and under are free, as is parking.
