AN air ambulance landed on New Milton’s recreation ground last Friday night amid fears for a woman’s welfare.

The alarm was first raised at 7.25pm, when police were called out, before the Dorset & Somerset service’s replacement helicopter was sent at around 8.30pm.

It landed on the green, off Old Milton Road, before leaving the scene about half an hour later as the woman was reported to have been handed over to medics.
