Van containing goods stolen in burglaries in Brockenhurst and Ringwood found abandoned on Singleton Way in Totton

A VAN containing stolen goods including a quad bike was found abandoned on a Totton street.

Police were led to the white Ford Transit after a tracking system on the bike, which was taken from a Brockenhurst business on 7th February, was activated.

Along with the quadbike, police found tools stolen in a raid on a property on Hopclover Way 7th-8th February, which have now been returned to their owners.

Officers are appealing for information from members of the public who might have seen the van, itself stolen in Dorset on 5th February.

They are keen to hear from anyone who saw the van being parked or those who have dashcam or CCTV footage from the areas involved on 7th February.

Sergeant Rob Ford said: “We would love to hear from anyone who thinks they might have seen this van, or has seen any suspicious behaviour around the two burglaries leading up to and on the night of the crimes.

“Our officers are working hard to crack down on these sorts of incidents and we will be continuing to patrol hotspot areas on our patch.

“We are pleased that we have been able to return these items to their owners, and it just goes to show the importance of noting any serial numbers or identifying marks on your valuable items.”

Those with information should phone 101 with reference 44220104150.
