Witnesses sought after 80-year-old woman suffers life-threatening injuries in crash on Christchurch Road




An 80-year-old Christchurch woman suffered life-threatening injuries in a road crash in Bournemouth.

Witnesses are being urged to come forward after the collision between a red Ford Focus and a black Honda Civic on Christchurch Road, at the junction with Crabton Close Road, at 3.49pm on New Year’s Day.

Dorset Police said a 36-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and later released while under investigation.

PC Mark Palmer of the traffic unit said: “I am appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police to please come forward.

“Also, I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the manner of driving of either vehicle leading up to the collision.

“In addition, I would urge any motorists who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage to please get in touch.”
