Biker hurt in car collision on Somerford Road, Christchurch




A MOTORCYCLIST was hurt following a collision with a car that closed off a stretch of a main road in Christchurch.

Paramedics and police responded to the incident involving a Suzuki bike and a Smart car which took place in Somerford Road, at its junction with Groveley Road, around 8pm yesterday (Wednesday).

The rider, a Bournemouth man in his 20s, was taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment to a leg injury.

A road closure was in place for over 90 minutes while emergency crews dealt with the crash and both vehicles were recovered from the scene.
