Biker suffers suspected broken collarbone in collision with car on A31 near Ringwood




A MOTORCYCLIST was hurt in a collision with a car that partially blocked a stretch of the A31 near Ringwood this morning (Friday).

Paramedics and police responded to the incident which took place around 8.20am on the eastbound carriageway between Picket Post and Stoney Cross.

Following assessment at the scene, the rider was taken to Southampton General Hospital with what were described by South Central Ambulance Service as “non-life-threatening injuries”. A Hampshire police spokesperson said the rider had suffered a suspected broken collarbone.

Rush-hour delays of up to half an hour were reported, with a long queue back to Poulner Hill, until the scene was cleared around 10.30am.
