Motorcyclist seriously injured in collision with car at junction of Osborne Road and Spencer Road in New Milton

A MOTORCYCLIST was badly hurt in a collision with a car in New Milton this afternoon (Wednesday).

The incident involving a Lexmoto bike and a Toyota Aygo took place just before 12.30pm at the junction of Osborne Road and Spencer Road.

Paramedics assessed and treated the rider before taking them by ambulance to hospital with what were described by Hampshire police as “serious, but not life-threatening nor life-changing injuries”.

Officers blocked off the scene for about an hour while crews dealt with the incident.

A force spokesperson said: “Officers were called out at 12.28pm to reports of a two-vehicle collision at the junction of Osborne Road and Spencer Road in New Milton.

“A Toyota Aygo and a Lexmoto motorcycle have collided.

“The motorcyclist has suffered serious, but not life-threatening nor life-changing injuries.”

People are urged to come forward if they saw the collision, along with motorists who may have useful dash cam footage.
