Blackfield & Langley appoint Saadi as new boss
BLACKFIELD & Langley have selected current first-team player Fawzi Saadi as their new manager.
Eight candidates applied for the Blackfield & Langley vacancy, and after some lengthy discussions and a lot to consider, the chairman and vice-chairman felt this was the natural choice for the players and future of the club.
Saadi made four league appearances for the Watersiders last season and was also dual-signed by Hamworthy United. Saadi takes over from Glenn Howes who left the club last month after joining AFC Totton.
The 35-year-old started his football career at Christchurch before making the switch to AFC Bournemouth.
While at the Cherries, he went on loan to Wessex League side Bournemouth Poppies and Algerian side CR Belouizdad. He left AFC Bournemouth for Poole Town in 2005 before rejoining Poppies.
