BLACKFIELD & Langley FC claimed a much-needed 3-2 victory at Walton Casuals on Saturday which sees them climb to 18th in the Southern Premier South table.

Hisham Kasimu, Mitchell Speechley-Price and Luke Rae scored for Blackfield to give them the win. Walton hit back with a goal from Jay Gasson and an own goal from Blackfield skipper Adam Tomasso.

The game started at a pace on a cold afternoon in Surrey. Walton had the first chance as Rhodell Gordon wandered into the area and forced a reaction save from Lewis Noice.

However, it was the Watersiders that took the lead with their first shot on 23 minutes.

Kasimu brought the ball down and jinked past a defender in the box and fired home into the far corner.

Walton did not miss a beat and continued to attack the visitors. Rene Howe had his header tipped over the bar by Noice. Walton found an equaliser minutes later when substitute Gasson headed high into the net to make it 1-1 midway through the first half.

In the second half, Walton came out with purpose and took the lead minutes after the restart. Cheyce Grant’s ring-wing cross was deflected in by Tomasso to give the hosts the advantage.

Blackfield searched for an equaliser and forced a fantastic double save from Alex Tokarczyk. The Watersiders’ hard work was rewarded as Speechley-Price headed in to make it 2-2.

On 67 minutes, Blackfield claimed the winner as Rae’s long-range effort scorched past Walton keeper Tokarczyk into the top corner. Noice made several impressive saves to ensure Blackfield left Surrey with all three points.
