Bodies of woman and teenage girl found at home on Shorefield Road, Milford

THE bodies of a 42-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl have been found at a Milford home.

Police were called to the property in Shorefield Road, Downton, on Thursday 29th December after reports that two bodies had been discovered.

Hampshire Constabulary told the A&T the case was being treated as "unexplained but not suspicious".

The pair were reportedly last seen by neighbours on Christmas Eve.

The private property is located near the entrance of Shorefield Country Park, but is on a different site and entirely separate from the business.

The house was surrounded by up to 10 police vehicles on Thursday afternoon, with officers remaining at the scene until Friday.

A spokesperson for Hampshire police told the A&T: “We were called just after 1.45pm on Thursday 29th December to a report of the bodies of a 17-year-old girl and 42-year-old woman having been found at an address in Shorefield Road, Downton.

“The deaths are being treated as unexplained but not suspicious.

"Their family has been informed and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
