A BOLDRE pensioner with a heart condition drowned in the United States, an inquest has heard.
Mark Gosling (74), of Sandy Down, died in an outpatients emergency room at HCA Florida County on 18th May.
A hearing opened at Winchester Coroners’ Court last Wednesday was told drowning was the main preliminary cause of Mr Gosling’s death.
It also heard he had hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a condition affecting the heart’s ability to take in or pump out enough blood with each beat.
A full inquest is due to be held at the same court on 23rd June 2025.
