Boy (11) suffers 'serious injuries' in collision with car in Ashley lane, Hordle




A YOUNG boy suffered "serious injuries" in a collision with a car in Hordle this afternoon (Tuesday), police have said.

The 11-year-old was involved in the incident with a vehicle as he walked along Ashley Lane shortly before 1.45pm.

The casualty was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment, said Hampshire Constabulary.

A spokesperson for South Central Ambulance Service described the damage as "serious leg injuries".

They added: "We were called at 1.38pm to Ashley Lane to a patient who was hit by a vehicle.

"We sent to the scene an ambulance crew who were assessing and treating one patient for serious leg injuries.

"Following treatment at the scene by our crew the patient was taken to University Hospital Southampton."
