Teen convicted for damaging CCTV equipment in Lymington




A YOUNGSTER has been convicted in court for vandalising a CCTV camera pole belonging to Lymington’s harbour office.

The 14-year-old, from Pennington, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to causing the criminal damage valued at £1,794 on 29th July last year.

Southampton magistrates issued a three-month referral order to a youth offender panel.

A £26 surcharge to help fund victim support services was also ordered to be paid by the parent or guardian.

No compensation was ordered due to an excessive claim.
