Bransgore man arrested for string of catalytic converter thefts in Lymington, New Milton and Ringwood




POLICE have arrested a man following a string of catalytic converter thefts in the New Forest during one night.

An investigation was launched after vehicles were targeted in the Lymington, New Milton and Ringwood areas between 10.15pm on Wednesday and 3.55am yesterday (Thursday) morning.

Officers swooped on a property in Westbury Close, Bransgore, where a search uncovered a number of power tools – including a power saw and car keys – which were then seized.

Detained on suspicion of six counts of theft from a motor vehicle, a 21-year-old local man currently remains in custody.
