All the winners of the 2023 New Forest Brilliance in Business Awards




More than 200 gathered to celebrate New Forest business success as brilliant firms across the district were honoured at an awards night.

The 18th annual New Forest Brilliance in Business Awards, held at Brockenhurst College, saw 19 winners in a raft of categories from a total of 30 finalists.

Run by the New Forest Business Partnership, its chair Matthew Lawson gave a positive review of the New Forest economy on the night: “This very special event is all about celebrating the stories and successes of the 9,000 businesses in the New Forest.

“With a record number of entries this year, I congratulate everyone who was nominated and shortlisted and especially our winners, together with those that help them start, run, grow and succeed.

“This evening, we celebrate together and we will all be inspired, encouraged and informed by the successes of our impressive finalists.”

The A&T-sponsored Best New Forest Charity/Social Enterprise/Community Interest Company was won by Olivia Inspires, a charity which helps youngsters facing financial hardship, set up by Nigel and Paula Burt after the tragic death of their daughter Olivia in 2018.

Lymington-based Scott Bailey Solicitors won the prestigious New Forest Business of the Year award, as well as the Training and Development gong.

Guests enjoyed a celebration party at Careys Manor Hotel in Brockenhurst after the presentation.

The Simpson Hilder Associates Award for Personal Achievement: James Hiley-Jones - Greenclose Hotels

The New Forest Enterprise Centre Award for the Best New Business: The Brew Forest

The Hampshire County Council Award for Contribution to the New Forest Community: Harvest Fine Foods

The Brockenhurst College Award for Training and Development: Scott Bailey

The Southampton Business School Award for Young Person in Business: Tom Simpson - 820 Spirits

The New Forest Marque Award for Food and Drink: Beaky Blinders

The New Milton Advertiser and Lymington Times Award for Best New Forest Charity/Social Enterprise/Community Interest Company: Olivia Inspires
