Prolific burglar Mark Griffiths, who hit homes in Lymington and Sway, jailed for four-and-a-half years




A PROLIFIC burglar who struck at least three homes, two of which were in the New Forest, has been jailed for four-and-a-half years.

Mark Griffiths (57), of Romsey Road, Winchester, admitted committing the offences before being sentenced at the city’s crown court on Friday 3rd February.

The hearing was told how Griffiths burgled an address in Church Lane, Lymington, around 11.45am on 7th October 2022.

That same morning, he forced his way into a property in Heron Close, Sway, before escaping with cash and jewellery.

Finally, on the morning of 29th November 2022, he stole a purse when he burgled a house in Main Road, Littleton, Winchester.

The judge sent the defendant down after being asked to take a further six burglaries into consideration.
