Polyhose UK invites reps from Dorset Chamber, British Fluid Power Association, Mar-Key Group, Lloyds Banking Group and Rubicon People Partnership to ribbon-cutting at new warehouse in Christchurch

A MAJOR international hose manufacturer has opened a new site in Christchurch.

Polyhose UK’s warehouse and distribution outlet will supply customers nationwide with flexible hoses, fluid connectors and other products made of thermoplastics, polytetrafluoroethylene, rubber, composites and steel. It is based on Airfield Way.

Company leaders welcomed guests from the Dorset Chamber, British Fluid Power Association (BFPA), Mar-Key Group, Lloyds Banking Group and Rubicon People Partnership to the ribbon-cutting at the new building.

The firm needed to create additional warehouse space to accommodate a “broader range” of products and “increase the depth” of its UK stock holding.

After looking at various build options, they chose to work with Christchurch’s Mar-Key Group to build the warehouse.

Polyhose UK managing director Marc Whibkey said: “Once the groundworks were complete, Mar-Key Group finished the structure in just a few weeks.

“Seeing our vision for the new building come to life so quickly was incredible. The additional warehousing will make a real difference to our business.”

BFPA managing director Chris Butcher said: “It was a pleasure to be invited to the official opening of the new Polyhose warehouse and to meet their hardworking team.

“The new building is fantastic and is an excellent example of the investment our members are making in the more than £1.5 billion UK fluid power industry.”

Chris also presented Polyhose, which was incorporated in 1985, with a certificate recognising its 40 years in business.
