A35 to close at Hinton Admiral for six nights from 2nd May

A BUSY stretch of the A35 is set to close for roadworks only weeks after workers finished the last lot.

There were long delays for drivers at Hinton Admiral on the from January through to March while Bournemouth Water carried out "essential maintenance".

Now Hampshire County Council has announced the road will close overnight for six nights for "road maintenance and roadworks".

The closure, from Tuesday 2nd May, will be between Ringwood Road, west of the Texaco station, and Verno Lane from 8pm each night until 6am the following morning. The road will be open outside of these hours.

A spokesperson from HCC said: "There may be times when the works need to be postponed works at very short notice, based on the latest weather forecasts.

"Any significant changes to the scheduled work dates will be made clear on the yellow sign boards located at the works limits."
