BLUE Peter presenter-turned-West End star Peter Duncan will play the father of rock ’n’ roll in Million Dollar Quartet at the Mayflower Theatre next month.

The Tony Award-winning musical will visit Southampton from 10th-14th March ahead of a 15-venue UK tour.

Duncan will play famed record producer Sam Phillips – the man who brought together Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins for a legendary, ‘million dollar quartet’ recording session.

On 4th December 1956 history was made when these four stars gathered at Sun Records in Memphis for what would be one of the greatest jam sessions of all time.

Million Dollar Quartet brings that night to life, with its extraordinary story of broken promises, secrets and the once-in-a-lifetime celebration of four acclaimed recording artists.

Tickets to the show are £21.50 to £44.50 - but we’ve teamed up with the Mayflower Theatre to give one lucky reader the chance to win a pair of tickets to the opening night.

To be in with the chance of winning, answer the question in this week’s leisure competition.

All entries must be received by Friday 21st February. See newspaper for terms and conditions.
