Elderly motorist uninjured after car plows into shop window in Langdown Lane, Hythe




NEARBY police officers rushed to the aid of an elderly motorist whose car ploughed into a shop window in Hythe.

The incident involving a Vauxhall Astra driven by a 77-year-old local woman took place in Langdown Lane around 1.30pm yesterday (Tuesday), but no injuries were reported.

A police Facebook post afterwards commented officers were “in the right place at the right time”.

“An elderly lady has had an unfortunate accident this afternoon, officers were on hand to make sure the lady was OK, fortunately she escaped with no injuries,” the post said.

“Thank you for all who checked on this lady's welfare throughout the incident. She is now home safe and well.”
