CCTV: Hunt for man who kicked French bulldog outside Christchurch shop
POLICE are hunting a man who kicked a dog and hurled abuse at its owner at a Mudeford convenience store.
Officers have released CCTV images of a man they want to find after the woman’s small French bulldog was targeted in front of her mother and young son outside Central in Bure Lane around 9.30am on Monday 25th January while she shopped inside.
When she came out she was told the unknown man had approached the pet and kicked it “with some force” to the stomach before going into the shop.
Having gone back inside and confronted the man, the owner was subjected to a tirade of verbal abuse when he became aggressive.
Officers investigating the incident are urging people to come forward if they recognise the pictured suspect or if they saw the attacks.
PC Jon Park said: “This was a distressing incident for the woman as well as her family members who witnessed the attack on the dog.
“We are making enquiries into this matter and I am issuing images of a man who we would like to speak to as part of our investigation.”
