CCTV: Four men wanted by police after thieves try to assault staff while stealing items from Stewarts garden centre in Christchurch




FOUR men tried to attack staff as they stole goods from a Christchurch garden centre yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.

Police have released CCTV images of four men they want to find in connection with the incident, which happened at Stewarts, off the A35 Lyndhurst Road.

Around 2.30pm the offenders reportedly attempted to leave the store without paying for items.

They then tried to assault staff who attempted to stop them, before fleeing with the goods.

People are urged to come forward if they can identify these men in connection with the theft and attempted assault at Stewarts garden centre in Christchurch

PC Rio Baker said: “We are investigating this incident and are releasing CCTV images of four men we are looking to identify as part of our enquiries.

“I would urge anyone who recognises them to please contact us.”
