CCTV: Man sought after bank card stolen from elderly Poundland shopper used to withdraw £300 in Christchurch




POLICE have released CCTV images of a man sought over six weeks after an elderly shopper’s bank card was stolen and used to withdraw £300 in Christchurch.

A wallet containing the card and a small amount of cash was among the contents of a bag that was taken from the till area of Poundland on High Street between 4pm and 5pm on Tuesday 3rd December 2024.

The card was later reportedly used to carry out the fraudulent withdrawal at the BP garage on Somerford Road.

People are now being urged to come forward if they can help officers trace the man shown in the pictures.

PC Jack Honnywill said: “We are continuing to investigate this theft and we are now in a position to release CCTV images of a man we are looking to identify as part of our enquiries.

“I would urge anyone who recognises him to please contact us.”
