Body found at Avon Beach, Christchurch




PART of Avon Beach has been taped off this morning (Friday) after a body was found on the cliff.

Police, ambulance and coastguard are at Steamer Point nature reserve.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "Dorset Police received a report at 9.23am on Friday 18th November of a body of a man on a cliff at Avon Beach in Mudeford, Christchurch.

"Officers are in attendance with the ambulance service and HM Coastguard.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and HM Coroner has been notified.

"His family has also been informed."
