Research by Millets shows Avon beach in Mudeford, Christchurch, has the sixth highest parking charges in England and Wales
A CHRISTCHURCH beach has the sixth most expensive car parking charges across England and Wales, research has revealed.
Millets, the UK's leading retailer of outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment, analysed Google reviews, water quality ratings, ocean temperatures, beach facilities, accessibility and parking costs to reveal the best coastal towns.
Avon beach at Mudeford was ranked sixth most expensive to park, with an average hourly price of £1.61.
The average parking price for up to four hours was £6.45.
In contrast, the highest price for parking was at Bournemouth Beach, which had an average hourly price of £2.30.
The average parking price for up to four hours there was £9.20.
Parking on Hartlepool sea front was the cheapest, with an hourly average cost of 50p.
