2Riversmeet Leisure Complex wins second consecutive Southwest Leisure Centre of the Year award
STAFF at 2Riversmeet leisure centre in Christchurch are celebrating again after winning the Southwest Leisure Centre of the Year Award for the second time in a row.
They were given the prize in recognition of “always going above and beyond” and delivering an “exceptional” service to customers.
Amanda Barrie, head of leisure at BCP Council, said: “I’m so proud of the 2Riversmeet team who consistently work hard to ensure our classes and offering appeals to residents of all ages.
“This award is a validation of all their hard work over the last year.
"I would like to extend my thanks to each and every member of the team for consistently providing a great facility with exceptional customer service, and I’m looking forward to building on this for the coming year.”
Refurbished last year, the centre boasts a gym, large swimming pool, group classes, a trampoline academy and football pitches.
It also offers squash and table tennis along with holiday activities during the summer holidays for children.
Cllr Jane Kelly, cabinet member for communities, health and leisure, added: “This is a great accolade.
“It highlights the dedication that the staff put in to making this a marvellous leisure complex for everyone.”
