Christchurch man given suspended prison sentence for failing to attend probation meetings and behaving “unacceptably” at third
A Christchurch man has been given a suspended prison sentence after failing to attend a probation appointment and showing “unacceptable behaviour” at a third.
David Gray (41), from Upper Gordon Road, had been given a community order on 27th February at Poole Magistrates’ Court.
As part of it, he had to attend meetings with a probation officer but did not attend two – on 2nd and 10th March – without “reasonable excuse”.
He also behaved unacceptably at a third on 23rd March.
Gray had been sentenced after driving a car on Christchurch Road, Bournemouth, on 2nd July last year while under the influence of drugs.
On 22nd November 2022 he failed to surrender to custody at Poole Magistrates’ Court after being released on bail.
He also failed to do the same on 26th January this year.
Gray had the community order revoked at Poole Magistrates’ Court where he was given eight weeks’ jail suspended for 12 months.
