Christchurch man Andrew Gidley jailed after breaching sexual harm prevention order

BREACHING a sexual harm prevention order resulted in a Christchurch man being jailed for 26 weeks.

Andrew Gidley (31), of Dairy Close, admitted using a device capable of accessing, searching, storing, or downloading material from the internet without notifying police in the town on 4th March.

He had been prohibited from doing this by an order made by Bournemouth Crown Court in July 2021.

A district judge at Poole Magistrates’ Court ruled the offence was so serious that only a custodial sentence was justified.
