Fawley man Jimmy James given 12-month conditional discharge by Southampton magistrates for attacking police officer and obstructing another

A FAWLEY man who attacked a police officer and obstructed another has been given a 12-month conditional discharge.

Jimmy James (34) of Heather Road committed the offences on 27th October in Southampton.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates’ Court, he pleaded guilty to wilfully obstructing PC David Wood and assaulting PC Nathan Grimley.

In addition to the discharge, James must pay PC Grimley £100 compensation and court charges of £111.
