Van driver Stuart Robinson of Marchwood set for court appearance over deaths of motorcyclists Craig Smart and Simon Ashworth

A VAN driver is set to appear at the crown court following the deaths of two motorcyclists in a crash on the A326 Marchwood bypass.
Stuart Robinson (70), of Rosewood Gardens, Marchwood, has been charged with two counts of causing death by driving without due care and attention.
They relate to an incident involving his Mercedes Sprinter and the bikers near Twiggs Lane on 6th October 2021.
As reported in the A&T, Yamaha rider Craig Smart (38), a father-of-six from Gosport, and 49-year-old Honda rider Simon Ashworth from Warsash died from their injuries.
Southampton magistrates granted Robinson unconditional bail to appear at the city’s crown court on 17th February.
