Cow and donkey die in New Forest road accidents

TWO animals died in road accidents in the New Forest last week, the verderers have reported.
The first death was an Angus heifer last Tuesday at about 7am on the B3078 between Roundhill and Brook. Agister Peter Rix attended.
The second was a donkey which had to be destroyed after an incident in the same area on Saturday at about 6.40pm, attended by agister Mike Lovell.
There were three further evening incidents reported involving two ponies and a cow near Matley Wood, Brook, and Brownhills car park in Wootton.
They happened last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday but each time nothing was found.
